1974 Carver 29' Twin Diesel Fishing Boat for Sale

Carver Fishing Boat for Sale

This vessel is a 1974 Carver Cabin cruiser boat for sale that was rebuilt in 2004 as a center helm cabin cruiser fishing boat.  Everything about it is set up for fishing.  The entire rear floor from the console back was rebuilt.  All the electrical system had to be installed from scratch with new wire, fuses blocks, switches, lighting, pumps, etc.  Boat has 3 bilge pumps installed (I'm paranoid about things going wrong).  There is a tackle cabinet on the left side with space for many plastic tackle boxes, tube and worm rigs, etc.  There are cabinets on each side of the helm for storage.  120 volt AC is installed in the boat as well with a shore power cord.  Fully automatic battery charger is installed in engine compartment, and three batteries are below.

The boat has a top with a complete canvas enclosure for the forward area.  The enclosure has two back doors for the canvas, one with a window in it and one without a window.  There is extensive rod storage under the canvas top.

Two Volvo Penta TMD-40B diesels are under the floor in an engine compartment that has plenty of room to work all the way around the engines.  Its one of the roomiest engine compartments I have ever had, never had a complaint about the space down there.  These engines are industrial strength diesels and they start up and run extremely well.   Once warmed up there is no telltale smoke from these engines.  Fuel consumption is very good, typical south shore flounder trip uses about 7 gallons, a trip to the Block Island north rip uses about 15 gallons, a trip to the Southwest Ledge uses about 26 gallons.

The electronics are all in the box mounted directly in front of the helm.  There is a Humminbird depth finder, Apelco Loran, Furuno radar, and a Sitex VHF radio.

We have provided extensive pictures.  The first pictures are what the boat looked like in November of 2003.  The next pictures show some of the reconstruction, and the final pictures show what the boat looks like now.  It is being sold for $11,500.

The pictures are below.  If you want to see video of the boat in action, click here.
